At GN Orthodontics, we believe the best smiles start with a strong foundation. That’s why we encourage parents to bring their children in for an orthodontic evaluation around age 7, as recommended by the American Association of Orthodontists. Free early growth monitoring isn’t always about starting treatment right away, but it can make a big difference in guiding healthy jaw development and making space for adult teeth to emerge properly.

What is early orthodontic treatment?
Early treatment, often called Phase 1, is care that begins while your child still has a mix of baby and permanent teeth. The goal is to find the best way to straighten their bite early while the jaw is still growing and more responsive to gentle guidance.
Not every child will need to start early, but when it’s thoughtfully planned, it can set the stage for a much simpler process during the teen years.

Our doctors provide personalized support for every child. Depending on what is best for your family, we offer both kid-friendly braces and Invisalign® First.
Traditional braces

Invisalign® aligners
Invisalign treatment is a great, simple process designed specifically for growing smiles. These Invisalign clear aligners are comfortable and removable, making it easy for kids to eat their favorite foods and keep up with brushing. Because they are nearly invisible, your child can feel at ease throughout their treatment.
What if my child doesn’t need treatment yet?
If your child isn’t ready for treatment, that’s great! It means their development is right on track. We’ll simply keep an eye on things through our Growth Guidance program. You’ll leave with peace of mind knowing your child’s smile is in good hands, and we’ll let you know when it’s the right time for a follow-up.

We want your child’s first visit to be relaxed and educational. Our friendly team takes the time to get to know your family so you feel right at home.
The visit includes:
