You will be greeted by one of our treatment coordinators who will help guide you through the new patient process. It all begins with a tour of our office and an introduction to our staff (we want you to know all of our fabulous team members).
Most new patients require 2 simple orthodontic x-rays and a set of digital photographs of their teeth (we call these records). These materials are used by the doctor to establish a list of problems and solutions. Some patients also require impressions (we are expert impression takers!).
Your orthodontist will meet you in a large, quiet, private consultation room. A thorough exam will be performed along with a review of your records. Ample time is scheduled for the orthodontist to review his/her findings with you. Our treatment coordinator will then review the details of treatment and make financial arrangements with you. If you have dental insurance we will check on it for you ahead of time. Many people begin their treatment on this same day.
Undergoing orthodontic treatment is a big commitment for our adults and children. Anyone involved in making treatment commitments should attend this first appointment. We don’t want information lost in translation if the decision maker does not come and you have to relay the consultation outcome to them. Our happiest patients are the best informed!
